Situated in the Karoo Heartland near Jansenville, you will find Koffylaagte Game Lodge, a private game reserve located 130 km from Port Elizabeth. Traveling on the R75 from the coastal city of Port Elizabeth towards the historical settlers town of Graaff-Reinet, Koffylaagte is roughly a 90-minute drive from the Port Elizabeth Airport.
The reserve lies at the foot of the Karoo Mountain Belt, located between the World Heritage Site of Baviaanskloof and the second largest national park in South Africa, the Addo Elephant Park. It is home to a wealth of wildlife, including 22 species of southern African antelope, zebra and two of the Big 5 as well as a rich variety of other land mammals. The area also boasts a wide variety of bird species.
There are two separate outdoor braai facilities, one is situated in the thatched lapa that offers camp fire seating for 24 guests for larger gatherings, parties or bosberaad meetings. The large rock pool overlooks a splendor of rolling hills and a waterhole with surrounding lucerne plantation.
Koffylaagte Game Lodge also offers transfers from Port Elizabeth Airport and surrounding areas, day excursion, and three to 10-day tours in the Eastern Cape through Heritage Trails.
